Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) has partnered with one of the most experienced and successful investment firms in North America in their search for a Tax Manager. The Tax Director is actively seeking a promising successor to groom and mentor for future leadership.

- The Position: The Tax Manager role transcends traditional compliance duties, actively collaborating with deal teams to shape and optimize deal structures through a tax lens.
- The Opportunity: With a vision to cultivate talent within the team, the Tax Director aims to nurture the Tax Manager into a position of greater responsibility, preparing them to assume their role within the next 5-7 years.

The Tax Manager's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the Tax Director on transactional strategies and develop a thorough understanding of fund structures, working closely with the investment team and external advisors.
- Support domestic tax compliance efforts for funds, SPVs, and investment aggregators, including reviewing portfolio company K-1s and tax distribution calculations.
- Prepare quarterly and year-end tax estimates and compile tax-related workpapers for external audits, ensuring adherence to FIN48/ASC740 standards.
- Address investor inquiries regarding tax-related information and respond to IRS and other tax authorities.
- Calculate and ensure compliance with withholding requirements for IRS and state tax authorities.
- Document investment activities in detailed memos for reference and analysis.
• Assist team members as required to ensure smooth operations.
Tax Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
- MST and/or CPA desired but not required.
- 4-7 years of public accounting or industry experience. Part+ years relevant general accounting or public accounting (audit or tax) experience
- Exposure to private equity is beneficial.
- Experience with funds involving foreign investment holdings and investors is advantageous.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
