TAX MANAGER
- About the Company and Opportunity: Our client is a boutique financial services firm specialize in the northern suburbs.
Overview of the Tax Manager role:
• Preparing or reviewing client financial statements.
• Preparing or reviewing their business tax returns (1120, 1120S and 1065).
• Will manager from a tax standpoint and work with the team to build their tax skills being more of a people manager than just a tax reviewer.
Duties:
- Will apply experience in tax review for simpler returns as second set of eyes plus also be able to prepare the more complicated returns for a Partner review
- Firm of 9 employees doing small business returns up to $2M in size, individuals, a lot of s-Corps and partnerships
- Some international inbound and outbound, US Tax for companies in other countries that invest in US Real Estate or US companies with holdings outside US, knowledge of US international tax issues, holding requirements and treaties. Canada withholding tax in Canada, England, Australia, Germany and France.
- Many clients are small to large REIT's over $10M in revenue size where the Firm is doing the accounting for the larger, but only preparing returns for the smaller ones.

Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Tax Accountant/Tax Manager:
• Federal and state tax return experience
• CPA required, MBA or MST a plus
• 5 + years with tax preparation for individuals, corporate and partnership
