What the Tax Manager will do
- Preparation and/or review of the federal, state, and local income tax returns, estimated tax payments and supporting schedules by partnering with the various entities throughout North America
- Assist with income tax accounting (ASC 740/IAS 12) including the preparation of half-year and full-year tax provisions, calculation of the effective tax rate, and assisting with the annual financial audit
- Research tax law for tax compliance, taxability issues and special projects; prepare relevant memos that analyze statutes, regulations, rulings, case law, and other relevant authority
- Coordinate, assist, and provide guidance for tax audit defense and tax compliance notices including corresponding with governing agencies during the process
- Assist in the management of all governmental reporting and licensing requirements including secretary of state, payroll tax, sales and use tax, income tax, and local business license registrations
- Review and oversee the book and tax fixed asset and depreciation subledger
What the company needs in a Tax Manager:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related
- Prior experience with direct/indirect tax
- 4+ years of income tax experience
- Strong technical skills
- Highly motivated individual
