Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns and ensure accurate, timely filing.
  • Conduct thorough, complex tax analysis for C-Corps and Corporate Tax.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Provide innovative tax planning strategies and compliance expertise to clients; devise and implement tax strategies and advise clients regarding the tax impact of those strategies.
  • Coordinate and administer the provision process for ASC 740.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to accurately forecast tax predictions and establish tax provisions.
  • Maintain and update the company's income tax provision (ASC 740) calculations.
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
  • Review tax accruals and tax working papers in preparation of financial statements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
  • Strong experience with ASC 740 provisions, 1020, 1120, C-Corps/Corporate Tax.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax law and statutory regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with various departments and external auditors.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
