As part of our growth strategy, they are seeking a Tax Manager specializing in pass-through partnership taxation to join their dynamic team.

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the VP of Tax, the Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the tax compliance and reporting obligations related to pass-through partnership entities within our manufacturing company
This role requires a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in partnership taxation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

Pass Through Partnership Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for pass-through partnership entities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and deadlines.

Tax Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with the VP of Tax to develop tax planning strategies for pass-through entities, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax efficiency within the constraints of partnership taxation rules.

Tax Provision and Reporting: Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and related financial reporting disclosures for pass-through entities in accordance with GAAP and tax accounting standards.

Tax Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings affecting pass-through entities, conducting research and providing guidance on the tax implications of business transactions and operational changes.

Internal and External Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for tax matters related to pass-through entities, liaising with internal departments, external auditors, and tax advisors to address inquiries, provide support, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Tax Risk Management: Assess and mitigate tax risks associated with pass-through partnership taxation, implementing controls and procedures to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes, enhance system efficiencies, and implement best practices for pass-through partnership tax compliance and reporting.

Tax Audit Support: Provide support and assistance during tax audits and inquiries related to pass-through entities, coordinating with external advisors and legal counsel as necessary to resolve issues and minimize exposure.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree in Taxation preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in tax compliance and planning, with a focus on pass-through partnership taxation within a manufacturing or similar industry.
- Thorough understanding of partnership taxation principles, including allocation of income, basis adjustments, and tax implications of partner transactions.
- Strong technical proficiency in tax software and financial reporting systems; experience with partnership tax compliance software (Ultra Tax) preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret complex tax regulations and guidance.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop tax team members.
