The Tax Specialist- will report to our tax manager and will be responsible for sales and use tax reporting and related accounting.T
The tax specialist will also oversee business license and secretary of state filings, certificates of insurance and related projects. The position requires independent work and attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities:
- File and prepare sales and use tax returns
- Respond to government notifications
- File miscellaneous local tax returns and business license renewals
- Support third party with annual report information gathering
- Research state registration requirements and oversee registration compliance
- Assist with tax credit memo requests in Oracle
- Assist with tax issues with sales, customer service, credit/collections, and customers
- Handle requests for certificates of insurance
- Assist with information gathering related to insurance policies
- Coordinate insurance claims as they arise
- File state specific Workers Compensation reports
- Involvement in special projects as they arise
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of Sales and Use Tax experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Our client is currently hybrid, in office 2-3 days/week.
