We are currently seeking a Tax Accountant who will be responsible for performing a variety of tax related work including assisting with tax provisions and tax compliance. You may be the right fit for this role if you can adapt to change with ease (ie - look for process improvements with new tools and techniques, take on new tasks, etc.) and are comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization. It is essential for this role to develop positive relationships to gather information and influence decision-making. This role will provide opportunities to cross-collaborate with various corporate departments and with the business controllers at the operating entities. You will report directly to the Domestic Tax Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

To include, but not limited to the following:

  • Preparation of tax workpapers to support the tax provision and tax return processes
  • Preparation of federal/state/local extension, estimate, and return payments
  • Preparation of state and local tax returns, as needed
  • Preparation of other federal/state information filings
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Research of federal, state, and local tax issues, staying up to date on changes
  • Preparation and tracking of responses to federal, state, and local tax notices
  • Assist subsidiary companies with legal entity compliance requirements
  • Assist with execution and documentation of financial statement controls
  • Complete other miscellaneous projects and participate in Company initiatives as requested
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively when working with all levels both internally and externally
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work under changing priorities
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a trustworthy manner
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Benefits and Compensation

This role will be eligible for hybrid work flexibility based out of our New Brighton office. The pay range is $59,000 - $88,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.'some benefits include:
