OVERVIEW OF THE TAX ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary financial information for tax filings.
- Identify and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Assist in responding to tax authorities' inquiries and audits.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE TAX ACCOUNTANT:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in tax accounting.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Excel. Previous experience with MS Dynamics a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
