Role: Tax Accountant

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, prepare, and file US motor fuel and sales/use tax returns, timely remittance of tax payments and
- Ensure timely implementation of tax profiles and ship-to setups in 3rd party tax systems.
- Thorough monthly balance sheet tax reconciliations, with timely remediation of open balances
- Adherence to internal tax controls and processes
- Support the new ETRM journey.
- Troubleshoot process breakdowns; seek to understand root cause and solution with internal IT team.
Experience and Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor's degree; Accounting, Business, or Finance
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of motor fuels, sales and use tax compliance, advisory or audit experience within the Downstream oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge of trading, terminals, and pipeline operations is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
