Tax Accountant

This position requires you to be in the office 5 days a week. (Located right on the Nassau/Suffolk Border in Long Island)

Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant

Main Requirements & Qualifications:

Experience:

3 to 5+ years of public accounting experience leading multiple engagements.
Demonstrated experience in managing and overseeing various tax projects and engagements.
Certification:

CPA preferred/required with a diversified tax background.
Active CPA license or willingness to obtain CPA certification.
Technical Skills:

Working knowledge of tax software platforms, including CCH Axcess Tax, Engagement, and QuickBooks.
Proficiency in utilizing tax software to prepare, review, and analyze tax returns and financial data.
Team Collaboration:

Strong team player with proven leadership and staff development skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, providing guidance and support to team members.
Communication Skills:

Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex tax concepts and findings in a clear and concise manner.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Abilities:

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex tax issues and develop innovative solutions.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and evaluate financial data accurately.
Organizational and Time Management Skills:

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
