Job Description Talent Acquisition Lead, R&D Takeda Pharmaceutical Cambridge, MA About the role:

Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company that will inspire you and empower you to shine? Join us as the Talent Acquisition Lead for R&D at the Sr. Manager level located in Cambridge, MA. This position reports into the Head, Talent Acquisition Global R&D and Vaccines.

As the Talent Acquisition Lead, R&D, you will be a "player coach" for recruiting critical roles and for implementing Takeda's talent strategy to support strategic growth specific to our Research Organization with a focus in US recruitment and partner with global TA team. He/she will report into the Head of Talent Acquisition for R&D and will be responsible for managing all aspects of recruiting for assigned business unit and functions.He/she will partner with and advise hiring organizations to design and drive recruitment and talent strategies in partnership with US and Global R&D Talent Acquisition leaders and HR.

How you will contribute:
  • Consult with and advise senior leadership and HR Business Leaders regarding critical talent and recruitment needs for defined teams and functions within R&D.

  • Create a recruiting strategy to deliver on business and talent needs.

    o Regularly assess available staffing technologies and benchmark external best practices.

    o Deploy employer branding strategies in alignment with Takeda's corporate brand standards and ensure standard application of the global employment brand within R&D.

    o Assist with key searches including leadership and executive roles.

  • Develop and deploy the right talent engine to deliver on recruiting strategy.

    o Build/Lead a best-in-class team and provide leadership, coaching, performance management and development to a small team of recruiters including FTE and RPO team.

    o Evaluate, establish, and leverage vendor relationships to drive optimal delivery model.

    o Work with US and Global TA COEI to leverage enterprise-wide programs, process, and technologies.

  • Monitor and drive performance, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.

    o Ensure compliance with all required government regulations and reporting related to Takeda's hiring activities.

  • Monitor and report on recruitment effectiveness by measuring and reporting of key metrics.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 10+ years progressive human resources or talent acquisition experience required.

  • 5+ years Pharma/Biotech experience and deep understanding of how to attract scientist, MDs and clinicians highly preferred.

  • 2+ years of management experience required (can include RPO).

  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively to a variety of audiences and organizations.

  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence to plan, organize and implement multiple projects within time and budget constraints.

  • Minimum 5 days onsite per month (Cambridge/Lexington) for various meetings and to meet with key stakeholders.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$133,000.00 - $209,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained , certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
