Role: Systems Test Engineer (1310)

Indiana Auto Plant


Job Purpose

This position is responsible for new model setup, programming, mass production inspection optimization and maintenance of line-end testing equipment of completed body units from the assembly department to ensure compliance with regulations and prevent non-conformances from reaching the customer.


Key Accountabilities

  • Lead New Model LET set-up, programming, testing
  • Understand relationship among regulation, CBU/LET specifications, and equipment capability
  • Mass Production LET inspection failure analysis and feedback to responsible departments
  • Monitor/Track daily inspection results and failure trends
  • Daily and monthly reporting
  • Clear understanding and documentation of NM change points and PPH impact to equipment, process, and associate as well as internal and external impact to VQ
  • Support New Model T-stage events including evaluation and feedback reporting
  • Correlation and communication with other plants/departments for setup and analysis
  • IPC Execution, Approval and Documentation

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
  • 0-6 years of experience based on education
  • Strong communication skills, strong computer skills, ability to adapt to ever changing conditions, self-motivated, strong problem-solving skills.
