Responsibilities The Network Architect supports the Technical Director (TD), assisting with implementation of cloud technologies to advance the mission as well as for protection and hosting. The Network Architect assists with establishing Office's technical architecture and office-level technical roadmaps. Skills and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Applies knowledge of the technologies identified in "Required Qualifications" Provides meaningful contributions in technical forums and established boards Understands the enterprise, transport, and security systems that are deployed in the Sponsor's network(s) Shares expertise and integrates across organizational teams Analyzes and solves complex problems Implements exceptional organizational and communication skills Qualifications Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph A degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, Business, or a scientific, or technical discipline BS 12-15, MS 10-13, PhD 8-10 Knowledge of the TCP IP protocol suite, IP subnets and masking, and routing protocols Ability to analyze, evaluate, design, and recommend network and cabling infrastructure architecture Knowledge of network operating systems Knowledge of network architectures and implementation of networked computer systems emphasizing multiple platform environments Ability to strategically plan new configurations for operation into the network, using knowledge of the characteristics of the systems being added to the network and the specifications for network interfaces to insure effective integration and optimal network performance Desired: Knowledge of the Sponsor's policies and procedures relating to design, upgrading, and operating and maintaining their networks Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals EEO Statement EEO Arcfield proactively fulfills its role as an equal opportunity employer.
