The Boeing Company is looking for a Systems Engineering & Test and Integration (SEIT) Lead in Mesa, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO or El Segundo, CA This position will support the Satellite Operations & Ground Systems (SOGS) organization. The SOGS organization executes software development across multiple program domain areas to deliver analytics, planning, scheduling, command & control, and mission management capabilities focused on ground user and mission needs. These software systems are integral to the daily execution of stakeholders' missions helping to solve intelligence and DoD war fighter strategies. The organization is seeking a hardworking, motivated, and creative SEIT Lead. This engineer will assist/lead development of Ground Control software system developed on cloud infrastructures following modern DevSecOps and Agile execution processes. The customer's needs require state-of-the-art, software-intensive systems to efficiently and optimally task, plan, exploit, and disseminate data for hardware platforms (e.g. satellites, ground systems, etc.) for maximum stakeholder value. We seek candidates who have advanced skills in software systems engineering with domain experience in satellite ground systems and satellite operations. The successful candidate will be working with a team of system engineers, developers, testers, and customers who are developing containerized microservices in a fast-paced agile environment. As the SEIT Lead, you will shape the requirements, architecture, design, and user experience of SOGS satellite ground systems to ensure mission success and customer acceptance. Position Responsibilities Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
Leads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
Leads analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
Leads, develops, maintains and identifies improvements the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

Support complex system level threads required to run missions in space This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires an active U.S. Security Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) post start. The U.S. Security Clearance is considered active if held within the past 24 months. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
10 years or more of experience designing, developing, testing or operating ground/satellite systems (commercial or USG)
5 years working with commercial or USG satellite or ground customer teams
1 year using Models Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience): Experience with some or all of standard satellite ground functions such as command and control, mission planning, mission data processing, orbit management, situational awareness, automation, front end processors, ground antenna's, crypto equipment, and terrestrial communication network
Cameo MBSE tool experience
Experience in Agile Software Development
Experience in DevSecOps development
UCI, ESG, or OMS Enterprise Standards
Cloud (private or public) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
Experience with RMF ATO process
Experience working with software developers and engineers in teams of 10 or more
Experience working with satellite assembly and manufacturing or launch support teams Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Travel: Ability to travel a 3-5 days/month to El Segundo, CA, Colorado Springs, CO, Kent, WA, Mesa, AZ, Leesburg, VA, and/or Washington, DC is desired.
