Job Summary : The Systems Engineering Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE). The Land Warfare and Missile Defense Systems (LWMDS) department is looking for a Systems Engineering Section Leader (Senior Manager, Systems Engineering) in Huntsville, Alabama. LWMDS supports Raytheon by providing world class technical expertise and engineering guidance to strengthen the design and development of world-class Air and Missile Defense Systems, Sensors, and Effectors. The LWMDS department guides all aspects of Systems Engineering that facilitate the development of complex systems to support Raytheon's Land and Air Defense Systems (L&ADS) and Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) business areas from our Huntsville, AL location. LWMDS Department Systems Engineers solve technical problems at the System of System (SoS), System, Subsystem, and Component levels. We value diverse skills and experience, so don't hold back. This is an on-site role in Huntsville, Alabama Responsibilities to Anticipate : You will perform day-to-day oversight of a group of multi-disciplinary system engineers, with the primary responsibility of ensuring that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement. You will oversee management duties including performance development and appraisal, salary planning, manpower planning, career coaching, and ensuring adherence to company policies. You will contribute to the technical oversight of employees, monitor program implementation, and provide radar system subject matter expertise in direct support of program efforts and proposal activities. Basic Qualifications : Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and ten (10) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas: Experience with Missile Defense Systems or other related systems engineering experience
Experience developing a team of engineers
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Preferred Qualifications : Advanced degree in EE, CE, Physics, Math, ME, Aerospace. Experience in Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems including radar, interceptor, Command and Control systems Experience using DOORs

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
