Systems Engineer Lead with Security Clearance

Railhead is presently seeking multiple professionals, including a Systems Engineer Lead to work at Ft. Meade, MD supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies, called Defense Enclave Services (DES). The DES contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities' common-use information technology systems, personnel, functions, and program elements under the direction of DISA's Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Document existing infrastructure configuration, requirements and overall architecture. Work with various stakeholder to produce high level and detail designs for existing infrastructure. Identify areas for improvement.
Develop plan to migrate current infrastructure into singular architecture and develop hardware procurement plan needed for migration.
Design solutions, integrate, configure, test and deploy numerous types of server-based applications based on Windows, Linux operating systems deployed on various virtualization platforms and cloud environments.
Optimize end-to-end system performance and migration workflows. u202f
Conduct data captures to obtain computing performance and system configuration information. u202f
Define migration plans that accelerate execution and minimize impact to the user community. u202f
Establish migration plans for complex n-tier applications and services. u202f
Gather needed data to forecast long-term capacity and performance requirements. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Secret Security Clearance
Strong knowledge of virtualization and storage solutions across multiple platforms
5+ years' experience managing systems backup and storage solutions.
5+ years' experience managing applications hosting on various OS and vitalization platforms or cloud environments.
5+ years' experience in configuration and maintenance of fiber channel and vSAN solutions
Familiarity with Active Directory policies, object management and schema design
Experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of components in a large VMware environment centered around best practices, to include vCenter, VMware Update Manager, vCenter Operations Manager, vCenter Orchestrator, SCCM/MECM, WSUS, Ansible.
DoD IAT Level II (Security+ ) certification or equivalent is required, prior to start.
