This is an opportunity for a Systems Engineer who is initiative-taking, innovative, and self-directed. This position provides challenging opportunities to apply and expand one's systems architecture experience and modeling & analytical skills. Specific areas of responsibility include working with an Air Force Chief Architect and others at Hanscom Airforce Base Day to day responsibilities As a Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to leverage and grow your engineering expertise by: Leveraging your experience as a Systems engineer to architect data exchange and tech stack requirements in the SparX Enterprise Architecture tool. The process of architecture is conveyed through concepts and relationships in a way that is understandable to a consumer.
Working with the Modeling and Simulation team, and AFGSC Chief Scientist team, we are to develop representations of components within an enterprise of enterprises of systems of systems with interdependencies, assumptions, and standards. As an example, we develop the representation of platform integration standards and representation of data exchanges and data flows. As we attempt, in our Technical Vision, to abstract away (vs hard code) physical systems and interfaces, we have the opportunity to better describe the as-is, Operational Baseline, the near-term (within the FYDP) Implementation Baseline (IB) changes and set a foundation for many different future approaches to achieve mission success. Constructing, coordinating, and iterating architecture views, and viewpoints, with operational capability owners, capability developers, and capability planners. Using a tool like SparX Enterprise Architect and Cameo Enterprise Architect will make it easier to develop and socialize the representation of parts of the systems for subsequent use in analysis, modeling, or a means to leverage configuration management processes and communicate concepts and recommendations to deliver minor efficiencies to major changes in ways to operate and leapfrog sustained progress.
Communicating better ideas and alternatives is part of the deliverables.
