Vive Financial is currently hiring a Systems Engineer to help grow our company and ensure our mission is achieved. The primary role of Systems Engineer is to work with the team to solve operational issues, plan system maintenance, expand/build server infrastructure, and respond to system outages. This includes configuring, maintaining, and supporting any current/future configuration standards for all infrastructure systems and hardware. This position will be required to work on assigned project tasks and changes with minimal supervision. Some on-call availability will be required.

This position is eligible for remote work with some days in the office in our Draper, Utah location. Candidate must live within a 60-mile radius of Draper, Utah

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

Working with development and product teams to ensure the infrastructure scales and meets the needs of the business.
Perform asset management, life cycle management, and related documentation.
Conduct research and make recommendations on Infrastructure products, services, and standards in support of infrastructure systems procurement and development.
Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure products and services.
Document, explain, and schedule system changes following the change management process.
Maintain current configuration standards on all Servers, Virtual Machines, Physical Hardware, etc. Including documenting weaknesses and researching potential solutions/upgrades.
Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight and make sound decisions even in emergencies.
Some physical activities such as pulling, pushing, and lifting may be required.

YOU'LL BRING:

Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent professional experience required.
4 years of experience supporting Microsoft and VMware server systems.
Certification in Infrastructure Systems that is in good standing or the ability to obtain MS: Azure Administrator Associate within one year of hire date.
Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, MS Exchange, Virtualization, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery
Demonstratable knowledge of Command line utilities Power Shell, BSH, ZSH, etc.
Strong knowledge of VMware VCSA, ESXI, Clusters, DRS, etc.
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and basic configuration.
Strong knowledge of large storage solutions. (NetApp preferred)
Demonstratable knowledge in active directory Forrest, Domains, GPOs, Trusts, etc.
Working knowledge of cloud services Route53, Blobs, Kubernetes, S3, Containers, etc.
Working knowledge of IaC technologies.
Ability to multitask on multiple projects as needed.
Highly analytical and Strong troubleshooting skills in systems administration and hardware.
Some programming experience. (Python or VBscript preferred)
Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
Highly self-motivated and detail driven.
A deep desire to learn and expand their knowledge in multiple facets of Technology.
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
