In this role, you will identify stakeholder needs, derive requirements, conduct tradeoff analysis, develop algorithms and functional architectures, review product design, and verify and troubleshoot systems. We are looking for a strong leader to work across a range of engineering disciplines to create unique solutions while strongly focusing on delivery and quality.
Duties: Including but not limited to: - Assist with gathering customer needs and lead translating these into detailed control system requirements.
- Lead the definition, analysis, and allocation of requirements across the various engineering areas.
- Develop the high-level system architecture and perform trade-off analysis for design approaches.
- Plan machine-level system integration and testing approaches and procedures both virtually and physically.
- Provide technical leadership for small to medium-complex cross-functional development projects.
Qualifications: - Bachelor s degree in Engineering in the field of Systems, Software, Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical, or Aerospace and four years of product development experience in software, electronics, hydraulics, system and/or machine controls design. Eight years of product development experience without an engineering degree.
- Proficient in developing electronic/hydraulic/mechanical control systems.
- Experience in identifying stakeholder needs and translating them to system requirements.
- Data-based decision analysis via structure methods (decision, Pugh, and trade space analysis).
- System integration and verification experience.
- Skilled in advanced troubleshooting skills, and root cause analysis utilizing FMEA, 8d s, and 6 sigma tools.
- Strong preference for experience with model-based design and agile software development.
- Experience using Matlab/Simulink, SYSML, Jira, and Dassault 3D Experience.
- Familiar with J1939 multiplexed communication and diagnostic protocols.
- Ability to communicate low details to a broad system context based on the needs of the audience.
