Systems Director

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversees program design, procedures, implementation, evaluations and corrective actions.
  • Designs, develops, implements and coordinate collaborative programs and new workforce development projects.
  • Ensures the Career Center attains measurable outcomes that aligns with contractual obligations and/or enhances the programs and services of the employment and training system.
  • Oversees the staff of the Career Centers, and monitor partner involvement.
  • Oversees system design, policies, and implementation.
  • Evaluates and report on the impact of the program initiatives and ensures the adoption of continuous improvement methodologies for the benefit of the customers.
  • Reviews the budget, revenues, and expenses of the Career Center.
  • Establish Career Center operational goals.
  • Set objectives for staff, supervises and evaluates job performance.
  • Provides and/or ensures technical assistance and training to staff, subcontractors and collaborating agencies.
  • Works with representatives from Federal, State and local agencies to develop and coordinate collaborative programs.
  • Develops and maintains community contacts, planning groups and collaborators to assist in the design, development and implementation of Career Center programming.
  • Work closely with system partners to align programs to create a seamless system of service delivery.
  • Coordinates business outreach strategies to increase industry participation in the workforce development system.
  • Expand the network of partners and assists in the development of access points for service in the community.
  • Interpret laws, regulations and policy guidance in the evaluation of programs for compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, human resources or related field, and five to ten years related experience required.
  • Current or past operational experience in managing career center services is preferred.
  • Ability to present information to various stakeholders, orally and in written form.
  • Demonstrated understanding of related Federal, State and Local statutes, regulations and policies.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work sensitively and effectively with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
