Key Responsibilities
- Oversees program design, procedures, implementation, evaluations and corrective actions.
- Designs, develops, implements and coordinate collaborative programs and new workforce development projects.
- Ensures the Career Center attains measurable outcomes that aligns with contractual obligations and/or enhances the programs and services of the employment and training system.
- Oversees the staff of the Career Centers, and monitor partner involvement.
- Oversees system design, policies, and implementation.
- Evaluates and report on the impact of the program initiatives and ensures the adoption of continuous improvement methodologies for the benefit of the customers.
- Reviews the budget, revenues, and expenses of the Career Center.
- Establish Career Center operational goals.
- Set objectives for staff, supervises and evaluates job performance.
- Provides and/or ensures technical assistance and training to staff, subcontractors and collaborating agencies.
- Works with representatives from Federal, State and local agencies to develop and coordinate collaborative programs.
- Develops and maintains community contacts, planning groups and collaborators to assist in the design, development and implementation of Career Center programming.
- Work closely with system partners to align programs to create a seamless system of service delivery.
- Coordinates business outreach strategies to increase industry participation in the workforce development system.
- Expand the network of partners and assists in the development of access points for service in the community.
- Interpret laws, regulations and policy guidance in the evaluation of programs for compliance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, human resources or related field, and five to ten years related experience required.
- Current or past operational experience in managing career center services is preferred.
- Ability to present information to various stakeholders, orally and in written form.
- Demonstrated understanding of related Federal, State and Local statutes, regulations and policies.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work sensitively and effectively with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
