Boeing Space Mission Systems is currently seeking a Systems Architecture Manager to join their team in support of Systems Engineering, Integration & Testing (SEIT) from El Segundo, CA. The position will be focused on managing the system architecture capability in support of space system development activities. The Systems Architecture team develops System level architectures, CONOPS, Verification/Validation plans, and Interface definitions while serving as the interface between various segments of the system under development. They are skilled in the processes, tools and methods used to capture and communicate the artifacts to the lower level elements of the system. The Systems Architecture Manager will lead the team toward delivering quality Systems Architecture products through deployment of tools, processes, training, talent management and knowledge sharing. Position Responsibilities: Develops System level architectures, CONOPS, requirements, plans and implements team policies and procedures to ensure delivery of quality architecture products. Works closely with and provides technical guidance to team members who are evaluating customer's operational needs and defining architectures for Boeing Solutions. Ensures that team members have the resources needed to meet task objectives and are integrating Boeing MBSE processes and tools into their workflow. Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Manages, develops, and motivates employees. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. 10+ years of experience in systems engineering.
5+ years of experience leading teams. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Basic Knowledge of SysML using MBSE Tools such as Cameo, Sparx EA, or Rhapsody. Knowledge of Systems Architecting methods and practices. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
