You may be able to work remotely but prefer San Diego residents. Position Description: This is an exciting opportunity to support the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) and Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific working on the digital transformation of the Naval Operational Architecture, model-based systems engineering of critical Naval cross-domain mission threads, and cybersecurity engineering of the next-generation Naval information systems and tactical networks. Decision Technologies seeks motivated individuals with broad skillsets and experiences who can demonstrate a history of achievement in engineering services for the Navy and/or larger DoD MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI OR TS W/ELIGIBILITY TO RECEIVE A SCI CLEARANCE Responsibilities and Duties: Review, assess, and provide advice in the development of security processes for Navy-related programs and projects Serve as site lead for the San Diego facility, monitoring local security processes and overseeing technology and infrastructure installation. Research analysis of missions, tactics, equipment, interfaces, and resource allocations to new and developing systems and programs. Provide security engineering support in analyzing and/or projecting the performance of DoD systems, facilities, and networks. Develop deliverables related to tools, standards, and processes for Cybersecurity. Develop and maintain cybersecurity System and SoS engineering technical reports, analysis, briefings, and meeting minutes. Required Qualifications and Skills: Four years of relevant in Government R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs. Also, HSI experience in at least 2 of the following areas: Comparative multi-domain engineering analysis, impact assessments, and trade-off studies of security systems. Design, installation, integration, and test support either in a laboratory or direct applications. Security documentation/specification development. Security test planning and test procedures development, test conduct, analysis, and reporting. Security-related engineering requirements, performance, and risk analysis. Applying security principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate systems. Applying engineering experience to perform system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, acquisition, training, and resource management functions. Conducting Task Analyses (e.g., Mission Task Analysis, Top-Down Functional Analysis, Critical Task Analysis). Design, installation, integration, and test support in laboratory or operational systems. Understand Naval operations from unit level through operational staff and headquarters planning. Bachelor's degree in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that includes 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics OR ABET Accredited BS degree from ABET-recognized engineering curriculum. Examples include ME/EE/IE/CSE Desired Qualifications and Skills: Prior DoD/DoN experience with a strong background in DoD systems and DoD networks Experience with AWS, Azure, or comparable commercial cloud systems, including IL6 or higher classified cloud environments Experience with cybersecurity reciprocity and Continuous Authority to Operate (cATO) environments Experience working with and/or developing in DevSecOps continuation integration environments Experience with classified information systems, cross-domain interfaces, and various DoD security environments Travel Requirements: 25% to various Naval activity centers, including San Diego, CA; Washington, DC; Norfolk, VA; Charleston, SC; Denver, CO; and Hawaii.
