Systems Administrator with Security Clearance

POSITION SUMMARY:
Datum is currently looking to hire an experienced Systems Administrator (SA). The System Administration tasks will be the primary responsibility for this role but may need to assist or complete some basic Oracle data management tasks. This role is needed for the Air Force Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES) at Maxwell-Gunter AFB in Montgomery, AL. The ideal candidate must possess a balance of deep knowledge of System Administration concepts, strong administration experience to install, upgrade, administer, and maintain system applications, a knowledge of data management as well as strong interpersonal skills. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Perform operational support of production systems in a SIPRNET facility
- Working rotations of 8-hours, 5 days per week during normal business hours (M-F)
- Flexibility to support operations (24/7), as required
- Support patch window operations during the weekends, as required
- Apply monitoring techniques for operating system and application products
- Identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages this includes troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software and operating system issues
- Work directly with multiple teams to resolve customer issues
- Drive customer communication during critical events
- Perform installation of application patches and DCAPES software releases
- Install patches supporting DCAPES applications
- Work with developers to help collect performance metrics and suggest tuning techniques MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware products - to include Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Analytics, Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Unified Directory
- 3+ years of experience with Systems administration in Solaris 11 and RHEL 8
- 3+ years of experience with troubleshooting networking (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Experience analyzing issues holistically, from the application tier through the database, down to the storage
- Demonstrated experience with shell scripts
- Detailed knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system and tools
- Working knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL and PL/SQL
- Exposure to Virtualization (VMware, Oracle VM SPARC)
- Exposure to security concepts / best practices (STIG, ACAS)
- Exposure to Cloud computing (CloudOne AWS) is preferred, but not required OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- When not working in the SIPRNET environment, assist with the ongoing development environment migration to cloud - migrating from RHEL on-prem to Cloud. Many of the same things done to support the production systems will be used supporting the development systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Datum Program Manager. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- CLEARANCE LEVEL: Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance with SSBI (IT Level 1) or eligibility to obtain
- Contractor shall possess certification(s) in accordance with DoD Manual 8570.01-M / CompTIA- Security + Certification (or its replacement), commensurate to IAT LVL II (Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, or Cisco CCIE certification desirable)
