Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Systems Administrator Subject Matter Expert (SME) to remotely support our federal customer located in Clarksburg, WV. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team, while taking part in a multi-year initiative to modernize our federal customer's large-scale IT systems. As a Systems Administrator SME, you will utilize your expertise in RHEL, Apache Tomcat administration, Red Hat Ansible, AWS, Pega Systems Administration, and will participate, in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases. You will play a key role in the integrity of the data and the efficiency and performance of the system. Most work can be performed remotely; however, staff may be required to support face-to-face meetings with the business line or end users. There is potential for face-to-face SAFe ceremonies on occasion. Requirements: - Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) v.7/8 - Apache Tomcat administration - Red Hat Ansible (AAP) - Amazon Web Services (AWS) - PEGA System Administration (experience with implementation, maintenance and support) - Experience performing upgrades to COTS products - Experience performing security patches to infrastructure and system components - Experience with running Java applications, preferably in a clustered environment - Experience in architecting web based application - Experience with one or more Linux-based Configuration Management tools like: Chef or Ansible Role responsibilities and Project Overview: - Perform daily duties of backups, maintenance on applications and OS, patching, tuning and troubleshooting - Perform Linux systems administration. - Configure system based on requested changes. Follow CM process to effectively manage environment changes. - Provide necessary instruction and documentation for change requests, installing operating systems, loading (installing) COTS products, and configuring operating systems and COTS products. - Recommend changes, upgrades, and enhancements based on the technical analysis. - Hands on experience with RedHat Linux installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers. - Leads and participates in efforts to implement application updates to include upgrades, patches, and new releases. - Performs systems administration functions on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. - Maintains and creates new, as needed, cloud compute instances, storage, and other cloud services required to support development team. - Knowledge of Web Services and Services Oriented Architecture is desirable. - Good knowledge and demonstrated troubleshooting abilities on connectivity issues due to firewall, load balancer, proxy, network and others. - Participates as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases. - Participation in a scrum team that is comprised of both government and contractor staff in the SAFe methodology. - 7x24 (365 days per year) system sustainment. - 7 days a week x 365 days a year on-call responsibility. - The On-call staff shall respond to the phone call within 15 minutes of the call. - System component tuning and performance troubleshooting. - Built-in redundancy and data resiliency in a cloud-based architecture. - Perform upgrades to COTS within the system. - Perform security patches to system infrastructure and components. - Provide Database Administration, tuning, and oversight. - Provide functional oversight for PEGA implementation and supporting infrastructure of system's applications. - Team features are pulled from dynamic product backlog and team is also responsible for Kanban work.
