Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing the IT infrastructure. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of systems and networks.

Responsibilities:

  1. System Maintenance and Monitoring:

    • Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and security configurations.
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Server and Network Management:

    • Manage and configure servers, both physical and virtual, to ensure seamless operation.
    • Administer and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  3. User Support:

    • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
    • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve escalated support tickets promptly.
  4. Security:

    • Implement and enforce security measures to protect the organization's systems and data.
    • Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices for data integrity.
  5. Backup and Recovery:

    • Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.
    • Test and execute backup and recovery procedures to ensure data availability in case of emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of system and network administration, including proficiency with Windows/Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or CompTIA Server+ are a plus.
