Job Description

Road Safety Services is looking for an IT Systems Administrator II to join our team. This individual will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with the company's hardware, software, and information systems. This individual will ensure that company systems, hardware, software, and any other operational needs are maintained and kept to industry standard.

Responsibilities

The IT Systems Administrator II responsibilities are to:

Work closely with a team of professionals both in and out of the IT field.

Proactively analyze and foresee system needs and provide suggestions to maintain or increase the performance of all systems.

Coordinate systems maintenance, upgrades, and implementation with stakeholders.

Support and promote the use of governance processes, including incident, problem, change, release, and configuration management.

Ensure all workstations, servers, software, and network equipment are properly configured, available, and secure.

Adhere to and suggest improvements for a strict maintenance cycle.

Document and add to detailed knowledge-base articles.

Maintain inventory records of all company owned and operated IT hardware and software.

Create how-to documents and tutorial videos to be distributed to stakeholders.

Work as a key member of a support team to troubleshoot and resolve issues within set timelines.

Submit change orders for changes made to company systems.

Participate and contribute to the development of a rapidly growing company.

Define and track workstation and equipment life cycles.

Complete regularly scheduled audits.

Collect, decommission, and sanitize broken, end-of-life, or otherwise unused equipment.

Assist with the standardization of PC configurations.

Review and deploy software through automated means based on the needs of a stakeholder or set of stakeholders.

Participate in on-boarding and off-boarding requests and processes.

Assist with support and maintenance of phone system including administration and configuration.

Adapt to ever-changing priorities and responsibilities.

Work independently without daily supervision of tasks.

Be willing to complete after hours tasks and stay beyond normal business hours to complete tasks and meet deadlines.

Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of support, especially while handling sensitive and highly personal information and data for employees and the organization.

Perform other activities, duties or responsibilities that are required

Perform on-site tasks to assist stakeholders with hardware, software, or other needs.

Perform physical networking needs including but not limited to, cabling, component installation, device installation, and equipment maintenance.

Be willing to travel based on the needs of the company.

Participate in on-call rotation, providing off hours support as required.
