Peraton's National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit has a need for an experienced DevOps Systems Administrator to support its SITE III JIOC contract charged with the orchestration, sustainment, and evolution of a portfolio of applications that focus on Collection Management, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and intelligence operations that directly support intelligence analysts, operations, and collection managers across the Combatant Commands. The SITE III JIOC contract is designed to establish and ensure a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the National apparatus of Defense Intelligence, Combatant Commands, supporting Partner Nations and other Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate Joint Intelligence Operations (JIOC) collection, correlation and dissemination. Our support team applies best practices in architecture design, data science, cloud services, DevSecOps and platform integration to develop, sustain and continually evolve the enterprise business systems environment, systems integration, and back-end business process workflows. The successful candidate will perform the following: The selected candidate will develop CI/CD build and deploy pipelines; integrate tools into the pipeline and manage debugging integration issues. In addition, candidate will help integrate with various tools for the DevOps process. Job Duties include: Development of CI/CD Build and Deployment Pipelines
Write/modify Jenkins-based groovy scripts
Write/update CloudFormation scripts
Troubleshoot pipeline issues across Jenkins and AWS Environments (Linux EC2, RDS, CloudFormation, ElasticSearch, etc )
Document key features for developer use
Help write and maintain scripts for process improvements (ex: stage/unstage builds, branch tag automation, automating variance corrections across networks)
Integrate tools into the pipeline
Work with the development teams to bring in new microservices into the pipeline. Helping troubleshoot as necessary.
Work through steps to automate installations of COTS products into the architecture
Debugging integration issues Help identify issues in the deployment (i.e. potentially intermittent connectivity issues from an API Server to the Database)
Monitor (and help develop scripts to monitor) the AWS services to ensure everything is functioning as necessary
DevOps Tool Integration
Help integrate with various tools for the DevOps process (SonarQube, Fortify, Jenkins, Robot Framework/Selenium, Artifactory, etc )Qualifications Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and participation in an attractive bonus plan. Required A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field of study, and 8+ years of relevant experience. Additional 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Experience with Linux Environments
Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash and Python Strong problem solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills
Experience with Git for Source Control
Understanding and willingness to work in a DevSecOps oriented environment with an Infrastructure as Code mindset
TS/SCI clearance adjudication and ability pass a polyDesired Active CompTIA Security+ CE Certification
Basic understanding of an Object-Oriented Programming Language, preferably Java or Python
Experience developing, deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting Cloud-based software solutions Experience integrating Jenkins and Docker for automated CI/CD pipelines Basic understanding of Kubernetes or OpenShift Container Platform
Familiarity with IC Audit requirements and Splunk
Experience providing technical support to the system accreditation process
Target Salary Range $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
