System Administrator with Security Clearance

Overview VTG is seeking a System Administrator in Pearl City, Hawaii. What will you do? Essential Duties and Responsibilities include. Installs and maintains local area network hardware and software including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, and wiring. Evaluates local area network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations; handles related site-specific needs as required Coordinates installation of hardware and software by others; coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services. Provides support to and trains users in local area network administration and usage of company email, conference bridge, cell phone setup, and standard PC utilization. Monitors and maintains network stability. Communicates and coordinates network schedule, backups, and downtime to users. Maintains a current asset inventory and asset assignment information. Coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts Provides a variety of technical and administrative systems support to users to include. Servers/server backup Desktop computers and laptops Document centers and printers Routers and switches Firewalls, security updates, patches iPhones/Smartphones Do you have what it takes? Required -Secret Clearance -IAT Level 1 certified (DoDI 8510.01) -One (1) year of experience performing maintenance, configuration, security and remediation of network IP devices, switches, workstations and servers, and VTCs Desired -One (1) year of experience performing maintenance, configuration, security and remediation of network IP devices, switches, workstations and servers, according to Navy Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.
