We're looking for a system administrator with a solid background maintaining Windows and Linux-based information systems to help us operate, maintain, and evolve infrastructure for a fast-paced organization. As a system administrator on our team, you'll help ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available, look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies, and update and patch critical systems. You'll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience in virtualized environments and distributed mission operations. You Have: 3+ years of experience employing and maintaining Windows and Linux-based information systems Experience with relational database management systems, such as SQL Server Experience with system and network administration tools and problem analysis techniques Expertise installing and maintaining remote hardware and software Knowledge of information system operations and peripheral equipment Knowledge of distributed simulation (DIS) and High Level Architecture (HLA) Secret clearance HS diploma or GED Security+ Certification Nice If You Have: 5+ years of experience employing and maintaining Windows and Linux-based information systems Experience configuring, modifying, and managing software and hardware in accordance with cybersecurity requirements, including Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Experience with Citrix Workspace Experience with PowerShell Expertise in system and network administration tools and problem analysis techniques Ability to gather requirements and transform the information into solutions that exceed customer expectations Top Secret clearance Bachelor's degree IT certifications Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
