Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vice President of Finance to lead the financial operations of our dynamic and rapidly growing private aviation company. As a key member of our executive team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategy, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and contributing to the long-term success of our company.

Required education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years at the executive level.
  • Proven track record of success in financial strategy, risk management, and financial analysis.
  • Experience in the aviation industry or a similarly regulated industry is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of financial software and systems.
  • Knowledge of aviation regulatory and compliance requirements is a plus.

Preferred education and experience
  • Master's degree in Finance or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years Aviation, preference will be given to prior Part 135 Operator/ Private Charter experience.

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team, supporting key decision-making processes to drive the company's financial health and profitability.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with our business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and effective resource allocation.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process and establish a robust financial forecasting system to monitor and manage financial performance against targets.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, cash flow analysis, and performance metrics.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, develop strategies to safeguard the company's financial interests, and comply with relevant financial regulations.
  • Manage the company's capital structure, optimize financing options, and oversee cash flow management to support ongoing operations and investments.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including cost management, variance analysis, and ROI assessments, to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Lead financial due diligence and analysis for potential acquisitions, partnerships, or strategic investments, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, promoting professional development, teamwork, and a culture of accountability.
  • Ensure full compliance with all financial regulations and governance standards, and implement best practices to maintain strong internal controls.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, serving as the primary liaison for auditors.

  • Directly manage and provide leadership to the finance team, including Finance Managers, Analysts, and other financial professionals. This includes setting performance expectations, providing guidance, and conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Take an active role in the recruitment and hiring process for the finance department, ensuring that the team is staffed with skilled and motivated individuals. Facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring that work is distributed effectively and aligned with departmental and company goals.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to your team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with your team to establish clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with the company's financial strategy and goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, offer constructive feedback, and recognize achievements to motivate and engage team members.
  • Act as a point of contact for addressing any conflicts or issues within the finance department, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee resource allocation within the finance department, including budgetary considerations and staffing requirements, to support the achievement of financial objectives.
  • Ensure that the team operates in full compliance with financial regulations and governance standards, providing guidance and support in maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities as needed, while maintaining overall accountability for the department's performance.
