Surveying Rodman

Visit work/construction sites for land measurements. Using basic mathematics and reading numerals. Provide accurate survey rod readings on the request and direction of the surveyor. Work in varying weather conditions and environments, including dusty, wet, loud noises, etc. Keep company vehicle, tools, and equipment clean and orderly, informing management of any safety concerns. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned. 2 recent years' experience assisting in surveying procedures, operations, and providing survey rod readings. Active Driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record. Must have a safety-first attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required. Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. High School Diploma. Physical Requirements: Frequently lifts and/or moves objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally weighing more than 50 pounds. Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground, in varying weather conditions. Regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery. Must be able to stand, crawl, and kneel for long periods. The work environment periodically exposes the employees to high asphalt noise and dust levels typically associated with a construction project. Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
