ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie. Serving four nearby counties, the 15-bed emergency department sees approximately 18,000 patients per year. ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. In addition, the Wound Healing and Pain Management clinics serve as referral centers for neighboring ECU Health hospitals and providers.

Ahoskie, NC is ideally located an hour from the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area and two hours from Raleigh, Richmond, Williamsburg, and the beautiful Outer Banks of NC. Position Summary

The Surgical Technologist maintains the integrity, safety and efficiency of the sterile field throughout surgical procedures. As a Surgical Technologist, you will prepare and arrange instruments and supplies and assist the surgeon and assistants throughout the operation by providing sterile instruments and supplies. Required to attend educational programs and staff orientation which promote personal and professional development. Participates in Service Excellence Program.

Minimum Requirements

Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program, Certification from a Military Program, or Graduated from an accredited Nursing Program RN/LPN
Less than 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience - no CST needed
American Heart Association BLS Certification (required for OR)

Other Information

36 hours a week
Monday - Friday (6:45 am - 3:15 pm)
Required to work rotational weekends
On-Call one night a week and one weekend per month
