This position is also responsible for the training and development of his/her assigned staff. The Surveillance Shift Supervisor makes quality recommendations on the legitimacy of gaming, money handling integrity and protection of company assets.KEY JOB FUNCTIONS: Accepts responsibility for all administrative functions of the Surveillance Department for their shift. Administers training and development programs for staff. Prepares and presents performance appraisals; recommends merit increases, promotions and transfers. Evaluates and makes expert recommendations to other department leaders on the legitimacy of gaming and money-handling integrity. Evaluates existing gaming policies, procedures and systems to make improvement recommendations. Schedules Surveillance Officers. Creates and conveys quality Surveillance reports to operating Managers and Directors.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred Strong gaming or law enforcement background preferred. Minimum of three years as a Surveillance Officer or Gaming SupervisorQUALIFICATIONS: Literate and fluent in English Basic computer skills Must be able to motivate and develop staff effectively Must possess excellent judgment under pressure Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and proceduresPHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to use repetitive motion, reach, grasp, hold, finger dexterity. Ability to hear, see and have color distinction; vision correctable to 20/20. Vision testing may be required. Ability to climb ladders and stairs Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time Mobility skills to move quickly and easily around the property Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.
