Maintains accountability for all Government property held and/or acquired within the custodial area until relieved by formal transfer of accountability or other official act. Maintains files and records for personal government property and receiving reports for equipment. Inputs data and assists with the prompt payment and ultimate submission of all receiving reports to the designated finance technician. Qualifications To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Ordering and distributing all property and supply items including but not limited to medical supplies, specialty equipment and parts; conducting physical inventory including storing and disposing of excess or expired items; managing property receipt actions and transfers; utilizing an automated system to reconcile and enter receiving reports for goods and/or services; researching and verifying supplies and equipment received from vendors; and resolving supply discrepancies. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: establishing and maintaining accountable property records which includes capitalized and non-capitalized items; demonstrating work experience in governing property and supply regulations and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; conducting extensive search for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; providing supply operations for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts; troubleshooting inventory variances; tracking and managing asset additions and removal procedures including fleet management; using an automated information system to reconstruct records for accountable property, asset reporting, and depreciation calculations. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
