Summary This position is located at Great Lakes Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP). The purpose of this position is to provide support work to ensure effective supple procurement operations and an effective equipment program. The incumbent performs a variety of duties to include but are not limited to spot checking inventory, product research, clerical, property management, reverse distribution, processing recalled product, and miscellaneous duties as assigned. Responsibilities Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coordinates the functions of the property management program. Cataloging entries into the Automated Engineering Management Systems/Medical Equipment Reporting Systems(AEMS/MERS); bar coding all equipment; scheduling, conducting, and reporting annual equipment inventories. Monitors replacement of existing equipment and prepares and maintains the equipment plan and requests spreadsheet. Performing work in support of purchasing and/or procurement of services, products, supplies, and/or small purchase procedures. Accompany the return of pharmaceuticals, creating the temporary purchase order in system and keeping the order with the drugs while in locked storage. Advises Ell officials (IT Manager and Associate Director) of proper submission of tum-ins, Reports of Surveys; and property documents which support the general ledger accounts. Serves as the primary for data collection, data review, and reconciliation for all aspects related to the 809 and 1358 functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 04/25/2024. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized and/or Preferred Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Extensive knowledge of the AEMS/MERS equipment package, bar coding, scanner operation, and thorough knowledge of inventory management and control principles. Maintain knowledge of property accounting principles and inventory practices, and knowledge of commercial supply sources and common business practices related to sales, prices, contracts, discounts, units of measurement, deliveries, stocks, and shipments. Demonstrate the ability to resolve problems and disputes in accordance with regulations, guidelines, and established procedures, without additional authority in accordance with policies and procedures; and able to demonstrate wide variety of technical processes such as collecting and analyzing data, specification research, requisitioning and procuring material, coordinating and determining requirements, coordinating procurement lead times, follow-up processes, etc. OR, Education (Transcripts Required): You have successfully completed one (1) year of full-time graduate education in any field from an accredited college or university. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements: Work requires long periods of standing, walking, stooping, bending, and typically lifting heavy items under 50 pounds. The employee uses lifting equipment when occasionally moving items above 50 pounds. A great amount of walking is required to conduct physical on-site inventories of EII equipment and/or to trace misplaced items in stock areas. Lifting is required when receipting in equipment and preparing equipment for sales. Working Environment: Some of the work is performed in an office selling where the employee has access to a personal computer and computerized and manual records. However, there are frequent trip to warehouse areas on the production floor in the warehouse to conduct searches. While working in a warehouse setting, the employee is subject to heat, cold, humidity, dust, and moving equipment. Incumbent will occasionally be required to be outdoors when the need to transfer equipment from the mall building to the storage building occurs. All duties are subject to follow security, privacy, and safety procedures and regulations. The employee is required to wear safety equipment only when accomplishing certain task. Must have safety shoes when using a pallet jack. Must wear safety gloves when opening boxes.
