As Supplier Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Being the key contact for the company to their parts suppliers
Developing, establishing and maintaining relationships with those suppliers
Ensuring suppliers meet Quality demands, new model trials and audits
Working to resolve issues by determining root cause and determining solutions
Participating in new model projects
Evaluating and monitoring product to ensure it is meeting proper specifications using micrometers, calipers, gages, indicators, testers, etc.
Reading and understanding blueprint specifications
Recognizing areas for improvements; improving processes
To be considered for the Supplier Quality Specialist position you must have:
A good understanding of quality in an automotive manufacturing facility
Experience with/understanding of quality tools
Experience with SPC and PPAP
Excellent communication skills
Excellent problem solving and computer skills
A technical and professional mindset
