Find your future with us. Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to join the SQ Regional Operations team. This position will be located in the New England Region. This position is an autonomous position, therefore, the candidate must have the ability to work from home and supplier locations. Position Responsibilities: Manages employees performing supplier quality activities to ensure that suppliers' production and quality systems, special processes, products and services meet purchase contract requirements and applicable regulatory agency and government regulations
Cohesive partnering / integration with the supply base, key program business partners, and first line leaders
Focus on continuous improvement, the ability to recognize and implement opportunities to bring preventative best practices to the supply base
Development of data driven initiatives aimed at reductions of quality related disruptions, and fostering a culture that embraces the Boeing Behaviors are key tenants of the position
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve supplier performance
Provides education and coaching on Quality Systems
Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
Manages, develops and motivates employees
Must be able to manage in a hybrid environment This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g. Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), Aerospace Standard (AS9100
5+ years of experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality, Supplier Management Manufacturing, or Business Operations
Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders (i.e. business partner, customer, Finance, suppliers) in planning and executing projects (project management)
3+ years of experience in cross-functional leadership, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication
Ability to travel locally (New England area) as needed to meet with Suppliers and employees, and domestically on occasion Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 3 + years of experience in leading a virtual team
3+ years of experience in root cause corrective action
Experience working with suppliers or vendors
Experience in manufacturing
Systematic and Advanced Problem Solving Skills
Experience working in Advanced Quality Planning (APQP), LEAN Manufacturing, and proactive Quality tools Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
