DUTIES: In this position you will serve as the Center Senior Functional and Director of Information Protection, responsible for all aspects of AFNWC security workforce recruiting, hiring, retention, awards/recognition, training and development, and compensation management. Additionally, you are responsible for integrating security activities with systems acquisition life cycle management within AFNWC across all Program Executive Officer portfolios. You provide leadership and program management oversight of all Collateral Security, Acquisition Security, Program Protection Integration, Operations Security, Scientific and Technical Information Program, Foreign Disclosure, and Antiterrorism. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Mastery of a wide range of advanced security concepts, principles, requirements, and the ability to resolve complicated security conflicts in program objectives. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small organization and establish effective professional working relationships. Inspires and fosters team commitment, spirit, pride, and trust. Facilitates cooperation and motivates team members to accomplish group goals. Makes well-informed, effective, and timely decisions, even when data is limited or solutions produce unpleasant consequences; perceives the impact and implications of decisions. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance. This is a drug testing position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing. Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled. Locations are not negotiable. The employee must demonstrate mastery of a wide range of advanced concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices involved in security. The employee must demonstrate mastery of security program interrelationships to coordinate the objectives and plans of two or more specialized programs to support and promote information sharing and strategies. Mastery of a wide range of advanced security concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices and the ability to resolve complicated security conflicts in policy and program objectives. 2. Mastery of security program interrelationships to coordinate the objectives and plans of two or more specialized programs to support and promote information sharing and strategies. 3. Knowledge of and skill to comprehensively interpret and implement security program laws, directives, regulations, and guidance to assist subordinate organizations in establishing and operating their internal security programs (including education/training). 4. Skill in the use of analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review, evaluate, and apply several alternatives according to the security requirements for highly specific situations, availability of materials, relationships with other protective programs, and cost/benefit considerations. 5. Ability to communicate highly complex and ambiguous topics orally (including briefings) and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately, with the ability to offer well-supported options and recommendations to Center senior leadership and senior security stakeholders across the entire nuclear weapon enterprise.
