Duties Management, planning, acquisition, direction, and coordination of Materiel Fielding (MF), New Equipment Training and Total Package Fielding (TPF) support activities for Program Managers' (PM) systems. Provide fielding of TACOM systems worldwide, in support of deployments, contingencies, and foreign country procurements Develops, coordinates, and executes fielding and modernization plans. Provides product support including sustainment, maintenance, and supply support to units fielded with ground combat vehicle systems. Formulates broad policies and objectives for execution of fielding and training in support of research, development, procurement, production, and fielding activities of the PM office. Develops and executes training strategies and concepts to support PM, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), DOD, and other Government agencies, for TACOM managed systems worldwide. Provides direction and execution policy for progressive personnel management of subordinate staff management, workforce utilization, employee-management relations and other personnel matters. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty. This is a Critical Acquisition Position. This position requires the selectee to remain in Federal service for at least 3 years. Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time. This is a Temporary position intended to last one year. A temporary position may be extended to a maximum of five years (in one-year increments) and may be terminated at any time depending upon the needs of management. Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 or equivalent) grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Developing, managing and executing fielding programs, training programs, or life cycle management in the areas of supply or maintenance for vehicle or weapons systems or sub systems; AND 2) Requesting, managing, or planning for resource requirements to carry out logistical operations. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 or GS-13 equivalent.
