Duties Oversees logistics administration including inventory management, acquisition, space management, supply economy, warehouse management, accountability, and equipment utilization. Reviews IT programs to assess systems performance, compliance with IT plans and policies, and alignment with business requirements. Serves as principal advisor on all managerial tasks and customer support issues and resolutions. Performs acquisition of IT assets and services to ensure requirements are met. Plans, directs, and controls the work of senior Information Technology and Logistics Management Specialists engaged in a wide spectrum of technical functions. Develops policy, plans, procedures, and functional directives that are concerned with materiel management and distribution and related strategic planning functions that have command and agency-wide applications Prepares solicitation packages (to include Statements of Work, etc.) for contracts. Oversees the Customer Support and logistics programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time. Supervisory probationary period may be required. In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively. The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster).
