Duties Plans work schedules and sequences of operations for assigned personnel, ensuring that deadlines are met and that there is even flow of work. Revises work schedules to meet changes in workload, including use of overtime or alternate work schedules. Gives special instructions on difficult or different operations, and answers technical questions about the work. Informs higher level supervisors of anticipated vacancies, increases in workload, or other circumstances requiring replacement or additional staff. Informally recommends promotions, reassignments, and recognition and rewards outstanding performance. Resolves employees' informal complaints that are within his or her jurisdiction, and contacts higher levels of supervision for information and correction of unsatisfactory conditions. Directs on-the-job training for employees and provides back-up skills by cross training. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Three year trial/probationary period may be required. Temporary duty from duty station up to 15% of the time. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. This position requires a Financial Management Certification within 2 years of hire date. THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81 This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Appointment to this position does not confer competitive status. Provides budgetary technical leadership for major mission activity directors and activities with budget reporting responsibilities. Administers a complex annual budget of direct and reimbursable funds involving separate appropriations. Administers Center of Excellence budgetary management system.2. Emphasizes and explains budget limitations, program requirements, and directives. Receives, distributes, and administers all funds issued to the Commanding General. 3. Directs attention to actual or potential funding problems and recommends policy for solving them. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
