Supervisor of Investment Accounting Non-Profit Braintree MA

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operational and accounting activities for pooled investment programs. This role will require the ability to work in a team environment with other associates responsible for the daily financial processes related to those entities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Experience in financial services required, background in fund accounting helpful.

Solid understanding of custodial banking, unitization of funds, cash settlement and other operational activities relating to investment accounting.

Ensure accurate maintenance of recordkeeping system accounts & balances.

Assist with bank account reconciliations and monitoring of reconciling items.

Oversee preparation of annual audits for investment programs and Corp Sole entity.

Reconcile custodial data to investment manager reporting.

Review monthly reconciliations and analyses of all accounts, supporting work papers and monthly financial management reports for all funds.

Deliver accurate investment monthly account statements to program participants.

Ensure purchase and redemption process activity in an accurate and timely manner.

Oversee the full cycle GL close for assigned entities and financial reporting.

Provide excellent customer service.

Assist with the implementation of new projects, policies and procedures.

Interact in positive and professional manner with staff and visitors at the company headquarters.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MBA a plus.

Minimum of 2-5 years relevant accounting & reporting experience.

INTACCT general ledger experience a plus.

High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and organization & analytical skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Willingness to support the mission of the organization.
