$92k to $137k annual salary range (1.0 FTE)


Unity Center for Behavioral Health is a 24-hour behavioral and mental health services center located in the greater Portland metropolitan area. We provide immediate psychiatric care and a path to stabilization and recovery for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Unity Center offers mental health treatment to adults and adolescents aged 9 to 17. We also have the only emergency department specifically for behavioral health emergencies in Oregon. The Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) serves adults 18 and older. We believe in a trauma informed approach to assessment and treatment. For more information, please visit our website:




Responsibilities

The Supervisor provides clinical and administrative oversight to our Social Work team for our adult and adolescent units. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with site and departmental policies and procedures, orienting and onboarding new staff, performance counseling and problem-solving. Assists department leadership with staffing and budgeting, and planning and administering programs relating to the care of patients. Works collaboratively with department leadership, providers, community partners and Legacy physicians and staff to develop and achieve program objectives. Serves as a role model and resource for staff. Department staff includes social workers and depending on assignment may include crisis intervention specialists, resource specialists and/or intake specialists. Represents Care Management team at leadership meetings. Provides clinical supervision of social work associates working toward advance practice clinical licensure.


Broad knowledge of the principles of social work and the ability to apply them, integrating knowledge of the normal aging process, changes related to chronic illness, and the needs of patients with chronic illness. Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to deal effectively with complex situations. Skilled at working with community organizations to access resources for patients. Strong interpersonal skills including ability to build and facilitate teams, embrace change, ability to problem-solve and handle multiple priorities. Excellent organization skills and oral/written communication skills for effective interaction with staff members, providers and department leadership. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.


Assists in developing standard work and expectations for department roles. Supports the team in eliminating barriers that affect patient transition plans.

Qualifications

Education: Master of Social Work degree from an accredited School of Social Work required.


Experience: Three years of work experience, including two years of post-licensure practice experience to be able to provide clinical supervision. At least one year experience required in one of the following areas:

  • Care Management
  • Behavioral Health
  • Social Services
  • One year of supervisor or lead experience in care management or social services preferred.


Compensation details: 45.66-68.04 Hourly Wage
