Superintendents must be focused, driven, motivated, and have the ability to see the full scope of millwright projects, which may include coordination of paving or subcontractor activity. Monitoring progress and acting proactively to avoid issues while guiding laborers through the completion of the project is also an important part of this role. Possessing the desire and ability to work well with others and represent the company in a positive manner at all times is critical. A predictable and reliable attendance pattern, appropriate behavior, and adherence to safety standards are essential for a Millwright Superintendent. While not a regular part of this position, out-of-town travel may be required from time to time. As a norm, travel happens Monday - Friday; transportation and lodging are company paid as is daily meal per diem. The standard for this position is traveling to and from job sites each day, starting and ending at the Lincoln shop location, which means start and end times will vary based on job locations. Experience and Knowledge Minimum 3 years, 1 year in a supervisory role, similar work experience with installation and/or repair of agricultural facility equipment, including: motors, conveyor systems, augers, gear boxes, and other similar related equipment, strongly preferred Ability to coordinate job activities including material and equipment needs, time and labor projections, maintain onsite contact with customer, monitor labor hours, assist with time-card reconciliation, while meeting all deadlines Capability to manage multiple skill levels, delegate tasks, read prints, drawings, or other schematics, and ensure alignment to engineering drawings throughout Participate in division meetings as required, reporting job status, needs, completions, and challenges as well as sharing wins and best practices Follow and enforce safety standards across the job site, ensuring adherence to policies, timely completion of training, periodic inspections of all harnesses and other lifesaving safety equipment, and issuance of replacement equipment from time to time Maintain on-time status for each job resolving and addressing any challenges impacting project quality, completion, labor, and/or budget with leadership Valid driver's license and safe driving record necessary Excellent time management, leadership, delegation skills, and detail oriented Experience with hand tools, basic mechanic tools, powered hand tools, impact sockets, grinders, cutting wheels, etc. required Current AWS Welding Certification preferred; stick welding experience desired Basic Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal right to work in the United States A desire to work hard and create a finished product you can be proud of The ability to maintain a predictable and reliable attendance pattern Physical ability to lift 50lbs frequently and 100lbs occasionally Skills to read a tape measure, level, use powered tools and hand tools Flexibility to bend, twist, kneel, lift, push, pull, stand, sit or any combination thereof throughout each shift Manual dexterity to grip, hold, and use hand tools and move, place and set materials Capacity to be on your feet an entire shift, wearing safety toe shoes & on a variety of walking surfaces Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and in loud, dusty environments Ability to work from extreme heights utilizing harnesses and other fall prevention techniques Proficient with technology, able to use MS Office products, willing and able to learn and efficiently utilize programs specific to scheduling, budgets, timekeeping and job costing Pay based on experience and qualifications $26 - $30/hour If you are looking to join a company focused on Teamwork, customer satisfaction, safety, and pride in a job well done, apply with CL Construction today.
