If you do not currently reside within that area and are interested in the opportunity, relocation would be required. Relocation assistance available to qualified candidates. At CL Construction Concrete Superintendents are the on-site contact for each project and are critical to the success of the Concrete Team. A Concrete Superintendent must be focused, driven, motivated, and have the ability to understand the full scope of each project. This includes but is not limited to, reading blueprints, projecting budgets, managing labor costs, coaching, and developing employee performance, ensuring adherence to safety policies, and maintaining daily communication with Project Managers and other Leadership. Acting proactively to avoid issues and guide laborers through the completion of the project is also vital in this role. Possessing the desire and ability to work well with, delegate tasks, oversee work and use of tools, provide excellent customer service to internal and external interactions with others is required. A predictable and reliable attendance pattern, appropriate behavior, and adherence to safety standards are critical to success at CL Construction. Our Concrete Superintendents do travel with concrete teams when required. Travel is most often Monday - Friday, transportation and lodging are company paid as is daily meal per diem. Note - we do not currently have a team from Grand Island, however are looking at this as an option for the future Desired experience and knowledge Minimum 5 years concrete experience, 2 - 3 years in a supervisory capacity Experience with blueprints for concrete and rebar projects Concrete laborer experience strongly desired, including prep, rebar, forming, pouring and finishing Understanding of budgets, labor costs & management, material requirements and recordkeeping Aptitude to proactively address concerns, problem solve, and make reasonable decisions Experience with employee interactions, including training, coaching, providing feedback, delivering disciplinary action, praise, encouraging motivation and team work Advanced ability to manage multiple moving parts, coordinating labor, materials, tools, while maintaining time schedules and budget Quickly able to build rapport with others and maintain solid working relationships Monitor quality and adjust work to ensure quality specifications and customer expectations are met Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred Required skills and abilities Must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal right to work in the United States A desire to work hard and create a finished product you can be proud of The ability to maintain a predictable and reliable attendance. and accountability for project progress Physical ability to lift 50lbs frequently and 100lbs occasionally Flexibility to bend, twist, kneel, lift, push, pull, stand, sit or any combination thereof throughout each shift Manual dexterity to grip, hold, and use hand tools and move, place and set materials Capacity to be on your feet an entire shift, wearing safety toe shoes & on a variety of walking surfaces Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and in loud, dusty environments Must be able to work from heights using fall harness and other required PPE Valid Driver's License, ability to travel interstate without restriction Experience with power and hand tools as well as concrete specific tools Ability to pull a trailer with standard passenger vehicle desired Base salary minimum $85,000 Base salary depending on experience and qualifications Relocation available for qualified candidates If you are looking to join a company focused on Teamwork, customer satisfaction, safety, and pride in a job well done, apply with CL Construction today.
