Job Responsibilities Work following the Mission, Vision and Values of CEMEX, lead by example. Assures training requirements are meet for all personnel in their areas, identifies and creates plans for compliance and delivers training where required. Control and lead all steps in the production process for their area, in a safe and professional manner in conformance with plant rules, operational instructions, environmental limits, quality standards and company policies Assigns, programs, and supervises activities for area personnel, establishes priorities for achieving objectives and solving issues or incidents. Creates instructions, procedures and standards, and assure compliance of them both on the operation of the equipment as well as the physical status of the area. Assures operational continuity. Verifies and applies all quality systems, procedures and meets objectives. Verifies and applies all environmental standards, assures limit compliance and optimizes reagent use through the correct operation of equipment. Analyze, assign resources and solve potential and identified problems in area equipment. Plan and program together with Maintenance and Quality all equipment corrective, preventive and major outages, with the objective of a safe and efficient execution. Creates and executes major outage plans. Participate in the creation of the Operational budget and assure compliance. Assures compliance of all autonomous maintenance routines, plans together with maintenance the solution for issues identified. Process measurements, analysis, and improvement of all equipment in area, following Equipment Essential guidelines. Define a clear improvement plan for all personnel and equipment in area. In charge of assuring and compliance of the correct housekeeping of areas, assigning, supervising, and assuring resources for its continuous improvement. Assures the correct communication, follow up and execution of procedures, instructions, actions and standards assigned by the Production Manager. Collaborates and executes standard actions as requested by the Process Department. Administers all resources in area (personnel, material and economical) Assigns work schedules for Shift Supervisors and Control Room operators, request overtime needs to Production Managers and authorizes time-off as permitted by the needs of the department and in accordance with company policies. Lead area meetings, and participate and present results in plant and other area meetings Adhere and ensure all CEMEX, MSHA, O.S.H.A., and other safety rules and regulations at all times. Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds (including but not limited to clothing, hardhat, safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes, gloves, etc.) Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemistry or Chemical preferred) or related major 2-5 years progressive experience within the heavy industrial manufacturing industry, preferred. Availability at all times to work and resolve issues of assigned area Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Cement experience and knowledge in quality, operation and maintenance of equipment. Ability and Leadership to manage and develop people, communication, team work and collaboration with different areas. Result oriented, identifies issues and drives the decision process, through an analytic mind, coordinate and work on different activities simultaneously Ability to plan and coordinate activities within supervised personnel and other departments Self-motivated, fast-learner in high paced working environment Detail oriented and ability to set priorities and complete goals and objectives in a timely and orderly manner Ability to work under pressure Computer savvy, Microsoft Office software Working Conditions Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
