Qualifications:

Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
Certification in School Physical Therapy (optional, but preferred).
Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school or pediatric clinic setting.
Knowledge of special education laws and regulations governing the provision of physical therapy services in schools (e.g., IDEA, ADA).
Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' physical abilities, limitations, and needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' motor skills, mobility, strength, and coordination challenges.
Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 plans.
Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to integrate therapy goals into the students' educational plans.
Monitor students' progress regularly and adjust intervention strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff on techniques and strategies to promote students' motor development and physical well-being in the classroom environment.
