SUMMER HIGH SCHOOL INTERNSHIP - INPATIENT NURSING Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 7 Week Program: June 6 - July 24 (Week of July 4th off) Part Time: 20 hours per week $10.00 per hour Applications accepted through May 5th, Must be 16 years old by June 5th to apply Responsibilities: Provides direct patient care to customers of all ages under the supervision of the nurse team leader and reports abnormal results. General CNA duties such as transporting patients and passing trays. Answers call lights promptly and courteously. Responsible for the clerical and receptionist duties of the central nursing station, under the supervision of nursing supervisor Maintains a positive attitude in promoting the hospital's mission, philosophy, purpose and high standards of health care to our customers. Maintains security, privacy and confidentiality of patient health information according to HIPPA guidelines and computer security guidelines. Supports and abides by all organizational, departmental and safety policies and procedures. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Performs other duties as requested. Must meet State Nurse Aide Registry requirement and be capable of assuming responsibilities of the position Current BLS certification required Must have good computer skills Employment contingent on successful background and pre-employment screenings.
