Position Title Summer Camp Assistant (Casual Part-Time/May 2024 - August 2024) Division Continuing Education(DIV) Department Continuing Education Job Description This position is responsible for assisting with camp programming and supervision of campers with the aim of providing a healthy, safe, and enjoyable camp environment and experience. The duration of this position is May 2024 - August 2024. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assist with programming/activities for the campus. Participate in group activities. Supervise students during mealtimes. Prepare camp materials and supplies. Encourage/motivate camp participation. Handle conflict among campers, and escalate to the supervisor when needed. Interact with parents/guardians. Supervise and motivate campers. In addition to summer camps at the Youngwood campus, this position will travel to the college's Education Center locations for summer camps as scheduled. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Attend all required meetings and training. Perform additional grade-level support duties as assigned. Required Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING High school diploma or GED required Prior work performance must have met or exceeded appropriate work standards. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS Valid driver's license required. CLEARANCES REQUIRED The successful candidate will be required to obtain/provide the following clearances prior to hire: PA Child History clearance PA Criminal Record Check clearance FBI Federal Criminal History Record clearance Preferred Qualifications LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
