Job Description: HAMPTON BOARD OF EDUCATION HAMPTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Job Posting Long-Term Substitute Preschool Teacher, Full Time Hampton Elementary School is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Long-Term Substitute Preschool Teacher. This position will provide an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education to make a positive impact on the growth and development of young children. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment, fostering social-emotional development, and implementing developmentally appropriate activities. Responsibilities: Curriculum Implementation: Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the preschool curriculum, ensuring a variety of activities to support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment, fostering a sense of community and cooperation among students. Effectively manage behavior and encourage positive social interactions. Individualized Learning: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, providing support and challenges as necessary. Foster a love of learning through creative and stimulating activities. Parent Communication: Establish and maintain open communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on children's progress, activities, and upcoming events. Collaborate with families to support each child's development. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the preschool team, including support staff, to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and other relevant information. Prepare and submit required reports as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Previous experience working with preschool-aged children. Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to changing situations and a flexible approach to teaching. Duration: This is a long-term substitute position to begin immediately, covering an extended leave.
